Ewon Connectivity - Credential Update
print icon

This instruction covers updating the MQTT credential files in the Ewon.

The following files need to be obtained from Pani before proceeding:

  • pani_test_plant.private.key
  • pani_test_plant.cert.pem
  • root-CA.crt

NOTE: “pani_test_plant” is an example filename. Your files will be unique to your plant and have a filename reflecting that.

Update with FTP

1.1 Download and Install an FTP Client

Download and install an FTP client. In these examples Filezilla is the client being used.

1.2 Connect to the Ewon

  1. Access the Ewon FTP Server by entering the IP address of the Ewon in the client. There can be up to 3 different IP addresses; LAN, WAN, and VPN. Which one you should use depends on your application and how you will connect. The default LAN IP address is 10.0.0.53.
  2. Login to the FTP Server using your device’s credentials. The default username and password are both adm.

1.3 Backup the Credentials (if exist)

Copy the private.key and cert.pem files from the Ewon to your computer. Ensure not to overwrite the new credential files.

1.4 Upload the Credentials

  1. Copy the new var_lst.txt file to the Ewon.
  2. Overwrite the existing file when prompted.
